The area boasts the eco-label blue flag for its commitment to the coastal environment and water quality. There are many beautiful beach clubs along the coast such as those of Carlappiano, Perelli, Sterpaia, Mortelliccio, Carbonifera and Il Pino.

These beach clubs cater for the disabled and some are dog-friendly. There are also free beaches in these areas.

Golfo di Baratti: the panoramic Gulf of Baratti has a small tourist harbour, an impressive black and silver beach, dunes covered with myrtle and juniper bushes, a century-old pine wood and an Etruscan necropolis.

Buca delle Fate: is located on the Baratti-Populonia coast overlooking the island of Elba. The view is breathtaking and the sea floor is crystal clear. It can be reached by descending a steep path from the car park.

Parco di Rimigliano: consists of a dense forest of oak and pine trees, sloping down to a sandy shore. Continuing towards San Vincenzo, there is a nudist beach "Nido dell’Aquila". From a distance, the beach is marked by a big yellow kite with the inscription ANITA – FKK.

Cala Violina: is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Maremma and is composed of tiny grains of quartz with a crystal clear sea. It is located between Follonica and Punta Ala within the Natural Reserve of the Bandite di Scarlino.

Calamoresca: starting from Salivoli and from the parking lot above the Cala Moresca, you walk for about 1 km along a dirt road that gradually descends to the pebble beach of Fosso alle Canne. The scenery is breathtaking.
